Artist Statement
Making jewelry is my comfort zone, gives the feeling and opportunity to be unprejudiced and irregular. It’s my playground full of numerous ideas and chances waiting to come to light. I believe life is an experimental process. So, as in life, during my creative process, my trials may end with delusion but it may start or gives birth to something new. As I discovered my potential to create hidden within me I began to see the objects around me in a way to discover their hidden potential. And I started to transform the materials to different forms, textures, postures to expose their hidden values rather than using them as they are. Playing with materials I try to make them look like another material and observe a possible connection with the metal. A torn paper turns into a metal , a roll of thread may become a bulk of knot or a piece of fabric may look like plastic while a piece of plastic may look like porcelain. It’s pretty much interesting for me to see how they react to the creation process. Also I like to see the surprise effect on the faces of the audiences when they learn the original material.

Mistakes This is about a love story. It has neither a beginning nor an end. It has full of broken memories and fragmentary experiences.
Dogs are not Flowers In this collection, I wanted to draw attention on the subject of animals that were bought from pet shops and left on the streets or to shelters because they could not be looked after. I am an animal lover and I am against buying them as ornaments. I also don’t approve picking flowers. When you pick flowers they die. But a battle for survival starts when you pick a dog from its’ home.
What if It is an upcycling project where I transform an object that I use in daily life into contemporary jewelry. I dreamed of giving a brand new identity to the parts of a lemon squeezer.
Flow(er) This collection came to life during the pandemic process. While experiencing borders, restrictions and losses, we all surrendered to the flow of life most of the time. It was surprising that the material I used also had reactions very similar to the process. I tried to make this process bearable by creating flower forms with this material, which is mostly used for isolation due to its function.
